Florida created the Florida Tax Credit Scholarship in 2001 to give low-income students one learning option that is not available to them because of their financial circumstances. It allows them to consider whether a private school might be a better fit academically.
The McKay Scholarship Program for Students with Disabilities provides Florida students with special needs the opportunity to attend a participating private school. The McKay Scholarship Program also offers parents public school choice.
The Gardiner Scholarship (PLSA) is different than other state scholarships in that it allows parents to personalize the education of their children with unique abilities. These include schools, therapists, specialists, curriculum, technology – even a college savings account.
